
Carol H. Cunningham, age 80, of 403 Quincey Road, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, in the Oconee Medical Center, Seneca.
Born in Laurens County, a daughter of the late James Carroll (J.C.) and Cora Grant Hamilton, she was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and Sunshine Chapter No. 62, Order of the Eastern Star.
A graduate of S.C. State University, she received her Masters Degree from Indiana University. She was a retired guidance counselor of Seneca High School and a former member of the Seneca City Council.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie L. Cunningham, Sr. of the home; three sons, Bennie L. Cunningham of Clemson, Dr. Miller Grant Cunningham and Howard H. Cunningham of Seneca; one sister, Sarah H. Little of Laurens; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at the Seneca River Association Family Life Institute, 298 S. Poplar Street, Seneca, with Rev. W.C. Honeycutt, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Oconee Memorial Park, 1923 Blue Ridge Blvd., Seneca. The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 502 E. South 2nd Street, Seneca, SC.
